2020年12⽉20⽇(⽇)から2021年1⽉31⽇(⽇) まで、METACITY新プロジェクト『多層都市「幕張市」』（以下、幕張市プロジェクト）の⽴ち上げを記念したイベントを開催。
「幕張市」プロジェクトは、世界で提案されている新たな投票システムの検証やオンライン上の祝祭性を⾼める⽅法の探索など都市OSに必要な基本機能のアップデートや代替⽅法を探求していく活動です。特に次世代を育む社会インフラとしての「⽂化」を⽣み出す機能や構造に着⽬し、研究者やアーティストなどと⼀緒に12⽉20⽇より活動を開始します。
プロジェクトを広く認知してもらうとともに、様々な意⾒を取り⼊れ今後の活動⽅針を検討していくために、2020年12⽉20⽇(⽇)から2021年1⽉31⽇(⽇)まで、幕張新都⼼及びオンラインにて、150mの建築物を使ったパブリックアート展⽰やプロジェクトメンバが公開討論を⾏うオンライントークイベント、都市OSを⽀える最新技術や背景にある考えを共有するオンラインレクチャーなど、以下で紹介する5種類の無料・有料イベントをコロナ対策し3密を避けた形で開催します。

From December 20th, 2020 (Sun) to January 31st, 2021 (Sun), an event will be held to celebrate the start-up of the new METACITY project, "Makuhari City" (hereinafter referred to as "Makuhari City Project").
The "Makuhari City Project" project is a project to update and replace the basic functions of urban operating systems, such as testing new voting systems proposed around the world and exploring ways to increase online festivity. We are especially focusing on the functions and structures that create "culture" as a social infrastructure to nurture the next generation, and will start working together with researchers and artists on December 20th.
In order to raise awareness of the project, receive various opinions and plan future activities, five free and paid events will be held in Makuhari and online from December 20th, 2020 to January 31st, 2021. There will be five different free and paid events, including a public art exhibition using a 150m building, an online talk event where project members will hold open discussions, and an online lecture to share the latest technology and ideas behind supporting urban OS (COVID-19 proliferation prevention measures will be taken at all events.).
